When I first went to Honduras I had no idea the change it would have on my life. I was working on living the American dream. I was the money and all that. After the first day in Honduras my life was changed. I met a boy named Jafet. Jafet did not have that many possessions or toys ,like most kids in Honduras, and yet he was the happiest person I had ever met. He had a smile that was so contagious that put a perspective on me that I had never had before. Money is not everything. I’ve now been 6 times in 3 years and every single time it gets harder and harder to leave. My life has completely changed and I love it. I look forward to my future trips. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of Honduras.
